I've had "happy feet" (a desire to travel) all of my life!

I truly believe that every day is a gift and pause often to watch the sunrise and sunset!

We stay quite busy as this is our passion and hobby, however we both have full time jobs. Chad, my hubby, works for Cinelight and sells high-end home theater systems and plasma/lcd tvs. I am in Real Estate. We are in the process of remodeling a home that was originally built in 1928. We do not have children yet, but hope to start adding to our family sometime next year. We are taking our first real cruise in January of 2006 but are already planning a few more, including a WGIG group cruise hopefully!!

Biomedbob - Bob and Friend
biomedbob.jpg.w180h124

I retired from the Federal government in October 2004. We moved from Palm Beach Florida to escape the traffic, dope dealers, rude people and foreign languages. Monterey is on a mountaintop in middle Tennessee, between Dripping Springs, Hanging Limb, just South of Muddy Pond, Tennessee. Lately we’ve been cruising with our Granddaughter, 9, who even has her own past guest number. In March she gained twin brothers, so I predict there will be some conflicts in the future. We are taking our crock-pot on its 44th cruise next week (non-rccl) and have number 45 and 46 already booked. We are so sick!

The Wog - Paul

I am currently studying for qualifications in Travel & Tourism. I work for Her majesty's Government and have done so for the past 26 years.
I am a great fan of Liverpool FC, who I cheer on whenever I can. Our local team is MK Dons who I also support.
I am proud to have met so many new friends through the Nutz and MOS.

Randy & Kathy - Randy
RANDY

Randy is 62 born 1943, Kathy is 58 born in 1947. We were both born and raised in the area of Flint Michigan. I retired from the Flint Police Dept. and Kathy was a fraud investigator for Citizens Banking Corporation in Flint. She was also an elected county commissioner and together we owned a snowplowing and a craft business. Most recently she owned a small computer business. She is currently taking online college courses.

We both enjoy playing golf, in spite of our lack of abilities, and going on cruises. We once owned and drove a race car, a Saab Sonett, in sports car races and did so for 17 years. Kathy also spent time racing the car.

We moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in July of 2003 and are presently looking after my mother and my stepfather who both live near us. In addition to being elderly they are both experiencing failing health and need various kinds of attention.

We very much enjoy the weather, except for the hurricanes, and have enjoyed the transition to this climate.

kaymbee - Kathy
kathy

I am the other half of Randy & Kathy or Randy #41 CRO (going on 37 years) and mother of EMTgoneNUTZ-Tanya.
Thought it would be less confusing to some if I posted under my own persona- besides I’m the shy, quiet one of the family…
Most of my background is in the R&K bio except that I now have completed my certificate in Computer Related Crime Investigation.
As soon as I receive it in the mail it will be filed away in the security box along with my B.S. in Business Management & Supervision.
Maybe someday it will surface but for now we are content to be counting down the days until our upcoming cruises-
especially the inaugural MOS voyage...

Fyrfytre6 & Gallaleuci - Rob & Gina
robgina

Rob (fyrfytre6), & Gina (gallaleuci) live in the cold temperatures of southern NH.
Rob is a youngish 30-13 (aka 43) and Gina is not a day older than 20-14 (aka 34).
We have 3 kids, sixteen yr old boy, 14 yr old girl, and a 3 yr old boy.
Rob is a career firefighter (23 yrs complete in March) and is the Training and Safety officer for the city.
Gina left the executive secretarial world to be a full-time mom and to pursue her dream of writing romance novels (first manuscript is finished and searching for a home with a good publisher; second manuscript is underway, while also working on a special MOS personalized novella).
We went on our first cruise (Enchantment of the Seas) for our honeymoon (Aug 2001). Took the family on Norwegian Dawn, Aug 2004, and heading back to RCCL April 2005 Navigator of the Seas. We have decided that cruising is the ONLY way to vacation.

blcfree - Bonnie
Bonnie

I was born in 1955 which means I turned 50 this year.
I am a registered nurse and mother of three children 24 months apart (I bred well in captivity)
Now that the children are grown and I intend to spend the next half century traveling and of course loving my grandchildren.
I am single and loving it.!!
I fish, sew, knit and spend too much time on the computer.

Leejnd4 - LeeAnne
LeeAnne

I am 46, and grew up in Newtown, CT. I moved to CA in 1981, and now live in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Previously a Telecommunications Engineer, I retired from that profession seven years ago to raise my kids.
I have since devoted myself to writing, traveling, and competing in marathons and triathlons.
I now make my living as a freelance writer.
I discovered cruising a few years ago, and entertain myself daily by either being on a cruise, or on cruise critic!
I am married to Charlie, who is a Business Analyst at a Biotech firm, and mother to Julia (15) and Dean (14), who are typical nightmare teenagers.
I expect my sanity to return once my kids hit their 20’s.

EMTgoneNUTZ - Tanya
Tanya

I was born September 2, 1974, but lately it feels more like 1934! I’m currently disabled due to being injured on duty as an EMT and have permanent nerve damage along with chronic pain, so some of this might sound “weird” to any of you that don’t already know me-just wanted to clarify that for ya’ll. =)
I have 3 awesome sons-Cameron, born in 1993, my “bandgeek/technonerd/future Harvard student” who is DEFINITELY a teenage boy *EEK*, Jeff, born in 1995, my “soccer star and grease monkey” and my little “Bubbadoo” Ryan, born in 1998, “my baseball star/Energizer bunny combination”. I also have 3 male cats, all of which were rescues, “Mister” who was born in 1999, “Harley” who was born in 2004, and “Hawkeye” who was born in 2006.

I am currently a Senior in college for the third year due to a few changes in major but hope to have my Bachelors Degree in Human Services next year, immediately followed by my Masters Degree in Geriatric Psychology, as I plan to relocate to the Sunshine State (Florida) in about 8 ½ years, so such a degree should come in quite handy in that region of the country! Some of the things that I enjoy doing most in my free time, (as if there IS such a thing with 3 boys, 3 cats, band, soccer, baseball & school! ) are riding motorcycles, dirtbikes and quads (for right now the doc has placed those on my “no no list tho”, and watching the boys ride their dirt bikes (they won’t have them much longer…just till we move, which hopefully will be before July ’07). I’m a die-hard Detroit Tigers baseball, & U of M Wolverines and Detroit Lions football fan (yes, admittedly so!). I’ve been known to embarrass my boys as I’m shouting mild obscenities at the tv and have worried a neighbor once that there was something bad going on-aside from the Tigers losing *OOPS* I also enjoy playing games on Pogo.com and card games such as solitaire, cribbage, phase 10, uno and skip-bo, watching The Apprentice, CSI-Miami, NY and LV (in that order! Horatio’s a HUNK!), HGTV home design shows, Dr. Phil, Oprah, M*A*S*H*, Days of Our Lives, Little House on the Prairie(yes, STILL!!) and ER. (I’m sure there’s LOTS more but this is long enough as it is!)

My most favorite vacation is a cruise to anywhere (surprise!!) but followed closely by visiting my family in Florida, as well as bowling (well, not now, but maybe again one day, post-op, my favorite food is fettuccini alfredo with chicken, broccoli and mushrooms- favorite foo-foo drink is the Bahama Mama and favorite condiment is, of course, mustard ;-)

While there is NO significant other in my life at this time, and NO plans for one to be anytime soon, my dream wedding has always been, and will be (IF I ever go the marriage route again in the future) is to one day be married aboard a cruise ship with my beloved parents there by my side as they’ve always been for everything else. (and of course the entire MOS crew at my other side!) *grins*

Wrp96 - Wrona
wrona

I am a single female born in January 1978 in Anchorage, Alaska.
Moved to Arkansas in high school, spent a few years of college in Pennsylvania before returning to Arkansas.
I just finished law school, and hope to find a job really soon and pass the bar.
My hobbies are reading romance novels. Also playing the piano and violin, and singing especially at church.
AND cruising.
I have been on 7 cruises (all on Royal Caribbean) and look forward to many more.

Singlmom - Kim
KIM

I’m a mom (Neil, 19), born in 1958 in West Chester, PA. After much wandering, and many moves along the way,
I now live only 5 minutes from the hospital where I was born.
Go figure! I’m a workaholic and love my work negotiating license agreements and contracts for the best software company in the world.
I love to travel, and consider the associated planning, research, pricing, and booking my favorite hobby, along with reading and keeping up with my son.
Did not discover cruising until 1999, but am working hard to make up for all those lost years. The upcoming MOS promises to be the best cruise yet!

Tommoore1 - (Tom & Bonnie)
tom

I’m Tom. I was born in Long Beach California way back in ’47. I’m happily married to my DSLW Bonnie (she’s a LOT younger than I am--just ask her, she’ll tell you!), we have 3 grown kids (2 girls and a boy), and 3 grand kids (also 2 girls and a boy!).
After 35 years, I retired from my job as an ATM / IT technician for Bank of America last year (on Cinco De Mayo), and now consider myself to be a “retarded senile citizen”.
I strongly believe that the ONLY condiment that should be applied to a hot dog is mustard (anything else is just wrong!).
It would cause me grievous gastronomical harm now, but as a young child I used to enjoy triple-decker mustard samiches with a generous serving of vinegar-soaked cucumbers on the side.

MurfAtHome - Steph
murph

I was born in Philadelphia Pa. and I am 48 years young. We have 5 kids and 3 grandkids. My husband and I have been married for 21 years. I have lived all over the United States. My father is a Presbyterian Minister so we moved a lot as a child. (and yes it true what they say about preachers kids) After marrying my husband he continued to get promotions and that in turned caused us to move a lot. My children were born in Pennsylvania, Kansas Arizona, Tennessee and Michigan. When I enrolled them in school I looked like a Gypsy with all the different birth cert. My husband just received a huge promotion and we don't have to move. Next promotion will be CEO and that'll be a while!!

We love to travel...I love the beach and he likes the mountains and the beach. We got hooked on cruising about 6 years ago. We also like to entertain in our home. We have worked hard on home projects to make our home a good place to gather...So...ya'll come.

My career was as a Purchasing Manger. I now volunteer as an EMT for the local EMs and Trauma center.

We are happy to have found the CC forum and the great people at the DDD lounge and WGIG MOS crew!!!

KeyOfSea - Trish & Marty
trish

My birthday is Dec. 4, 1956 so you can do the math. Both of us were born and raised in Seattle.
I´m a computer programmer for World Vision, which is a Christian Relief and Development Organization.
We have two nearly grown kids, both of them are great joys to us.

We like to travel, especially by cruise ship. We took our first cruise in Sept. 2002 and can´t get on board often enough.
Not enough time and money. Big sigh! We like to play games, card games and board games mostly but casino games too.
I like counted cross stitch, sewing, knitting and crocheting.
I sing and have been in a couple of bands over the years (although it´s been a few years now).
I love movies and have a large DVD collection.

PeterPan - Larry & Wendy
Pan

My real name is Larry, and my wife’s real name is, well, Wendy. We decided to go by Peter and Wendy Pan on the CC boards, because we could! We were long time lurkers on the boards, and spent many evenings catching up on the latest in the “10 reasons” thread. I got in with a bunch of “dawgz” in the “dyin’ to doc dance” thread, and have had a blast with both groups. We believe most people take life waaaay to serious.

I work as a senior systems engineer, and Wendy has been an RN for more years than she wants me to say. We took our first cruise for our 20th anniversary, and booked the second while on board. Our next cruise will include our 2 daughters who are currently slaving away at college studies.

If you have a sense of humor, come check out either place located in the Floataway Lounge on the Cruise Critic forums. Be prepared for some good belly laughs.

Thanks for getting us in, Tom!

Roofingprincess - Cindy
RP

I was born in Wisconsin in 1958 (you do the math, it comes out to 29 when I do it!), ended up in Boston for college, and really wanted to stay in Boston, but so did every other graduate in 1979, so I settled for settling in Connecticut. My son Joe was born in 1985. We took our first cruise together in 1994.
I work for an Insurance company - some of my co-workers call me the Data Goddess due to my computer skills.
I've done quite a bit of volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity, including the 2004 Jimmy Carter Work Project in Puebla, Mexico, and a Global Village Vacation to Hungary in 2005. My favorite builds are the Women Build projects, where most if not all of the crew is female. My CC nickname comes from an e-mail I received from a co-worker after an article about my Mexico trip appeared on the in-house website.
I also like to travel (land as well as sea!), to sing (church choir and the Bristol Choral Society), to knit, and especially to read (mostly trashy novels).
A glorious at-sea day will find me in a deck chair with a drink in one hand and a novel in the other!

ThePatientOne - Mike & Dorothy

My name is Mike.. I have been crew aboard this wonderful ship we call Mustard of the Seas, MOS for short, for just about a year now.
I am a proud half century young and going for the other half. My DW is Dorothy and to save peace, lets just say she is over 21..
I am in the food equipment repair business and have been for almost 30 years. If it preps, cooks and/or cleans I can repair it..
We have been on one cruise aboard the CCL Triumph back in 2006 and are looking forward to MOS 2 sometime in 09...
I want to thank the "Captain" for getting this crazy madness started 2 years ago as well as Tanya for showing me the way here..
We live in central Virginia and have 5 grown children between us. These kids have blessed us with a total of 6 grandchildren, (so far), 5 girls and a boy..
We want to cruise again, we also enjoy camping as well as spoiling the grandkids rotten....

FranHarp - Fran & Norio
fran1 Fran3

I was born in 1946 in a small town in Saskatchewan. Norio, my husband, was born in 1945 in Tokyo, Japan.
I am an ordained minister at Glen Ayr United Church, in the United Church of Canada; have a Bachelor of
Music, and Master of Divinity degree, and am currently working on a Doctorate in Ministry, specialising in
congregational development. I have just finished a year as President of Toronto Conference (elected for a
one-year term, but similar to a bishop). My husband is coordinator of the Japanese and Korean Studies
programmes at York University in Toronto; as well as teaching language, literature and culture, he has
distance education programmes with two other universities in Canada. We have four grown children, and
three grandchildren; two girls ages 8 and 4, and a boy age 2. Our eldest son lives and works in Japan, second
and third sons are here in Toronto (where we can see the grandchildren often), and youngest is finishing his
engineering degree in Vancouver, on the left' coast of Canada. We both love to travel, and became addicted
to cruising on our past trans-Atlantic cruise in the spring of this year.

I love gardening, playing organ and piano, as well as Irish harp. Now that the kids have left home there is
more time to indulge another passion - cooking. I love reading, just about anything, and from time to time
work on crafts and stitching. We also do lots of camping and hiking with our children and grandchildren.

I am pleased to provide spiritual and chocolate care for the members of the MOS, not to mention good sushi.

2zhaus - Bonnie

MustardMan - Don&Karyn

I was born in 1962 making me currently 45 but due to years of abuse on various sporting fields the virtual age of my body is currently somewhere in the neighborhood of 137.

I am happily married for almost 20 years to Karyn and we have 3 wonderful kids aged 16,13 and 10. I have an MBA in marketing/finance from the sports juggernaut Governors State University (they actually have NO sports teams at all which makes me wonder why I went there, but I digress) and according to my sister, I have a PhD in Smart A$$ from a very prestigious university somewhere (probably from good old Poupon U! Check it out at www.mustardmuseum.com). I have played on organized sports teams in football, baseball, wrestling, tennis, hockey, fast pitch softball, slow pitch softball, bowling and have been a coach in youth sports in some capacity for the last 28 years. I enjoy golfing and fishing in my spare time (which is usually at least an hour every other month).

I have lived in the Chicago area my whole life and am a Die Hard Cub fan and cheer for all Chicago sports teams. Somehow, I am also a huge fan of Oklahoma Sooner football!

We are taking our first cruise in March of 2008 on the Carnival Legend with the Legendaries.

My favorite vacation destination is currently Las Vegas but I have a hunch this cruising thing may try to change that! Been to Vegas about 25 times. Learned how to play blackjack from two people – Bobby Singer who taught me the correct way to play on a late night infomercial I saw at 2 in the morning the day before I left for Vegas about 20 years ago and a betting system I learned from a guy too drunk to count his chips but showed me how he stacked them! Since then I have only had ONE trip that I lost money playing blackjack for the trip! (I am NOT a high roller it’s usually a win of about $100 or so for the trip!)

erin_cruisers - Glenn & Maggie

Glenn, (born in '56), and Maggie, (born '53), live in the lovely little town of Erin (about an hour NW of Toronto) Ontario. Maggie was born in Holland and moved to Canada when she was 5. I was born in Toronto, and moved to Brampton when I was 5, co-incidently on the same street as Maggie. We grew up together but since she was 3 years older, we did not get along. In fact we hated each other. I remember as a kid, chasing her down the street with a snake (she hates snakes) just for a laugh. (she didn't think it was funny).

Anyway, we grew up, each moved away, married, and lived seperate lives, until a funeral brought us together again.

We've been married since June 04, but lived together for 12 years prior (after meeting at the funeral of a common friend). We married on Hawksnest Beach, on the Island of St. John, USVI, in front of our wedding planner, and a bunch of wild donkeys. :) It was during our very first cruise, and got us hooked on cruising.

We live with our Cat- Mittens, Budgie - Happy, and soon, a new Puppy - Blondie.
Maggie has two children from her previous marriage - Renee (33), and Steve (29).
(both who live now in Prince Edward Island.) Renee is the mother of Grand-daughter Cali who often is our Avatar. ;) My two children are Brandon (21), and Tiffany (19), who live with their mother in Brampton, Ontario.

Maggie works front desk in a Specialty Dental office in Mississauga, ON, and rises very early.
She has worked for the same person for 30 years.
I work in Sales for a small Manufacturing & Distributing company, and do not like to fight early morning rush-hour traffic. So I go in later, and get home by 7:30 PM most nights. One benefit of my job is that I get to travel Canada from Coast to Coast and visit my customers, usually twice a year. (Gets me out of the office, and blows the cob-webs out).

We both really enjoy cruising.
We've been on three cruises, and hope to be able to cruise at least once every year.
